Overview
The Rocket Shade™ V-Lock 2-Bolt Surface Mount provides a strong, reliable anchor system for attaching your shade to any reinforced flat surface. The mount is specifically engineered for vehicles and structures with rib-reinforced composite walls—such as cargo trailers, food trucks, and expedition campers—where the internal square-tube ribs may provide as little as 1.5"–2" of width for secure fastening.
The vertical bolt pattern is intentionally designed to align with the center of the internal rib or stud, allowing maximum load transfer into the strongest part of the wall. This same mount also performs well on 2×4 stud-framed exterior walls, RV features, and any other structural surfaces.
Use more than one - by installing multiple V-Lock mounting positions around the vehicle or structure, you can completely relocate your Rocket Shade quickly as the sun angle changes.

Two V-Lock 2-Bolt Surface Mounts
With double-bolt inline pattern for strongest attachment to internal frame features. Each mount kit includes two V-lock bases with rubber bases and eight stainless steel washers for required 5/16-inch bolt (customer provides bolts and nuts for required length). One V-lock base includes the stainless steel catch pin system that locks the mount in position.

One Mount Tube with two V-Lock Inserts
A strong 1.5-inch OD, 48-inch long anodized aluminum tube, capped at either end, is used to integrate with Rocket Shade cantilever system. This tube system includes two V-Lock inserts and ten fastening screws that secure the mounts tightly in position.
NOT INCLUDED: Bolts and nuts for customer specific installation.
All materials are engineered for long-term outdoor durability, including anodized marine-grade aluminum, UV-stable ASA structural polymer, stainless-steel fasteners, and protective rubber components. The result is a robust, weather-proof mount designed to deliver years of dependable performance on the road or outdoors.
