Rocket Shādē — Quick Repair Guide
Repairing your Rocket Shade is simple!
All frame fasteners use the same Torx-head stainless-steel screws, and all parts are designed for easy replacement using the included Torx driver. Do not use power tools for parts replacement, to avoid applying too much pressure on the fasteners.
Place shade frame onto a clean flat floor area, where shade can open fully. For easy access to components, work on the frame in a “half-opened” position. (fig 1)

A. Replacing Carbon Tubes, Fabric Tips, or Hinges
- Remove the fabric cap at the tip of the rib to be fixed (removes pressure). (fig 2)

- Unscrew and remove the broken part, using a flat head screwdriver to open clamp gap, if necessary. (fig 3)

-
Insert the new replacement part, making sure:
- Carbon fiber tubes are fully seated into their attached parts.
- Hinges are evenly spaced along the tubes for proper alignment.
- Test for proper fit. Reassemble and re-tighten all screws securely.
B. Replacing a Broken Tip at the Hub
- Loosen the 8 hub screws that clamp the hub together. (fig 4)

- At the broken location, gently pry apart the two hub halves just enough to release the pivot pin holding the part to the hub. You can do this without releasing any of the other hub features. (fig 5)

- Slide out the broken part with the pivot pin.
- Position the pivot pin into the new part, then slide it back into place within the hub.
- Press the hub halves back together and tighten all 8 screws evenly.
- Insert the carbon tube fully and tighten the tip screws.
- Test for proper fit. Reassemble and re-tighten all screws securely.
