Unpack all components, inspect for damage, and read these instructions fully before use.
Important Safety Notice
Perform your first installation on land or at the dock in calm conditions with minimal wind. The shade (8.5’ x 6.5’) can act like a sail—even in winds under 10 mph.
Step 1 – Understand the System
- The cantilever is fully adjustable for precise positioning.
- Use the colored spinner nuts to loosen, adjust, and tighten the tubes.
- Once positioned, tighten the clamps firmly—they are designed for maximum torque durability.

Step 2 – Set Initial Angles
- Loosen spinner nuts (8+ turns) to release clamp teeth.
- Set approximate starting positions:
- Shade hanger clamp: ~80° from storage and turn the hanger pin (bolt head) to face the cantilever tube.
- Rod holder insert: ~135° from storage and align the insert notch with your rod holder pin.
- Tighten clamps and Insert the cantilever into the rod holder (usually near centerline).
- Adjust until the shade hangertube is vertical and positioned high enough (about 6 inches above the tallest passenger).
- Again tighten all clamps securely after adjustments.

Step 3 – Attach & Open the Shade
- Lift the shade and align it with the hanger pin.
- Insert using the bayonet connection path:
Up → Rotate clockwise → Down → Release - Once hanging, open the shade lifting the white knob.
- Push the knob onto the hanger cone until it clicks into place. (look up, past knob to align)
- Gently pull down to confirm it is locked.

Step 4 – Fine-Tune Position
- Step back and visually align the shade with your T-top or mounting structure.
- Make small adjustments using: Clamp teeth positioning, Tube extension, Tube rotation
- Tip: Mark your preferred clamp and tube positions with marker or paint for easy future setup.

To Adjust for Sun Position -- repositioning the shade (tilt or rotate):
- Remove the shade.
- Slightly loosen the clamp (about 4 turns), Use the release wedge to free movement if needed.
- Adjust Rod holder tube: rotate left/right positioning - Cantilever arm: rotate for tilt angle
- Re-tighten clamps fully.

Final Installation Notes
- Always install the safety locking pin at the rod holder.
- Some tight rod holders may require removing a nylon insert for proper fit.
- Some Gemini hardware may differ from prior videos, but shade operation remains the same:
Insert vertically → rotate clockwise → drop to lock into place

Wind & Usage Guidelines
- Setup is easiest in calm wind conditions.
- Avoid use in strong or gusting winds – take down if over 20 mph.
- Do not leave the shade hanging while running at speed, or overnight, or in changing weather.
